Perhaps one of the most beautiful and unspoilt towns in the region, Norcia has preserved many of its historic buildings and sights intact, including the medieval walls, the church of St. Benedict, and the Castellina. Roman vestiges can also be observed throughout the town. Norcia's situation in the shadow of the Monti Sibillini National Park means that it is a haven for outdoor sport enthusiasts, with an immense number of trails and routes for hikers, trekkers and mountain bikers available close by.

Palazzo Seneca is home to a fine gourmet restaurant, the Vespasia, where the chef and his team create fabulous menus based on regional culinary traditions, the finest local ingredients - many from the hotel's own kitchen garden - and 150 years of family experience, all this in the splendid setting of the palace's magnificent dining hall. Leather covered writing desks created by leather craftsmen from Marche. "Cardinal" style chairs, the same used in the Vatican, only produced in Umbria. Umbrian cotto tiles and prestigious marble in the bathrooms.

Some rooms are furnished with antique four-poster beds in wrought iron, while others have wooden bed-heads sculpted by the skilled hands of Umbrian craftsmen who work on restorations in the centre of Italy. Leather covered writing desks created by traditional leather craftsmen from Marche. "Cardinal" style chairs, the same used by the Cardinals during their meetings in the Vatican, produced exclusively in Umbria.

Superior:
Large and fascinating, simply elegant. The hall next to the wardrobe reminiscent of ancient trunks, with leather-covered doors. Some are furnished with antique four-poster beds in wrought iron. Others have leather covered writing desks created by leather craftsmen from Marche. "Cardinal" style chairs, the same used by Cardinals in the Vatican during their meetings, only produced in Umbria. Some others include writing desks dating back to 1500-1700 belonging to the Seneca family.

Suite:
The enchanting bed is made with spiral wooden columns sculpted with undisputed skill by Umbrian craftsmen. The antique secretaire, belonging to the Seneca family, has been remarkably restored. The wooden floors are in ancient oak, while in the bathrooms elegant and precious black granite (meteor) has been used. Everything brings a timeless ambience of unique elegance to mind.
