Description: Villa ZuccariSet in a huge garden ornamental garden surrounded by extensive parkland, this splendid family owned and run property is located in an a meticulously restored country mansion, originally dating back to the late 16th century. Standing on the edge of the little village of Luca, this charming boutique hotel offers luxurious accommodation in a tranquil rural setting.Villa Zuccari's situation in the heart of the Montefalco wine region means that it is ideal for exploring this delightful corner of Umbria, often called "the green heart of Italy". The historic cities of Perugia and Assisi, with their magnificent medieval and renaissance landmarks, are within an easy drive of the property, while the spectacular hilltop town of Trevi is just 9 kilometres away. Villa Zuccari is host to a fine restaurant, "Le Zuppiere", which has a display of antique soup tureens in its spacious vaulted dining hall. The restaurant serves delicious menus based on traditional Umbrian cuisine, with the accent on the finest local produce. There is also a comfortable lounge bar and a quiet library, both featuring the magnificent period décor of this fabulous building. Outside, guests can enjoy relaxing dips in the large infinity pool, surrounded by rose and herb gardens. Deluxe: The Deluxe rooms of Villa Zuccari are spacious and comfortable, with dimensions between 35 and 40 sq m. Some of these rooms are located on the ground floor with a portico and private garden facing south, with a view of the garden, the swimming pool, the town of Castel Ritaldi and the Spoleto area. Torreta: The "tower" is the only room on the second floor. This very special junior suite is unique for its size thanks to its 41 square metre interior and 26 square metre terrace offering 360° views. Junior Suite: Hotel Villa Zuccari offers its guests two junior suites, each with its own distinct style. One junior suite has a large terrace offering views of the park and Spoleto with a beautiful sitting area, walk-in wardrobe, bathroom with Carrara marble finishes, double washbasin and whirlpool tub. The other junior suite has a large terrace overlooking the village, Trevi and the Umbrian hills. Il Villino: The Villino is the old brick farmhouse that is believed to date back to the early 19th century. Located on the grounds of the Hotel Villa Zuccari, the house was completely renovated in 2008 and conserves its beautiful rustic ceilings in wood and tile, typical of the old homes of Montefalco. The house has been converted into two independent town-house style apartments, each with an entrance garden, a large parking space and central air-conditioning. At the junction with the Grande Raccordo Anulare (ring road) follow the signs for Firenze. Keep on the GRA and turn off on to the A1 Motorway in the direction of Firenze (exit 10). A1 is a toll road. Exit at Orte (about an hour from Rome) and follow the four-lane main road to Terni. Continue past Spoleto and exit at Trevi/Montefalco. From there follow the signs to Montefalco and drive past Cannaiola. A couple of kilometers after Cannaiola the road bends sharply to the left: immediately after the bend do not turn right towards Montefalco, but keep going straight. After roughly another 2 km, turn right at the sign for San Luca. Drive into the village and follow the signs for Villa Zuccari. You can't miss it - it's pink. From Florence (North): Take the A1 Motorway in the direction of Roma. A1 is a toll road. Exit at Valdichiana and follow the four-lane main road to Perugia. Continue (SS75) past Assisi then Foligno.* From there follow the signs to Spoleto and take the SS3 highway. After approx.10 kilometers exit at Trevi/Montefalco. From there follow the signs to Montefalco and drive past Cannaiola. A couple of kilometers after Cannaiola the road bends sharply to the left: immediately after the bend do not turn right towards Montefalco, but keep going straight. After roughly another 2 km, turn right at the sign for San Luca. Drive into the village and follow the signs for Villa Zuccari. You can't miss it - it's pink. *IMPORTANT!
