Standing in a tranquil wooded valley, Jesmond Dene House is set in a Grade II listed Arts and Crafts mansion, designed by the Georgian architect John Dobson, who also designed many of the buildings in Newcastle's historic city centre. Thoroughly renovated and modernised, while maintaining its heritage atmosphere, Jesmond Dene House offers luxury boutique accommodation, award-winning cuisine and a quiet, secluded location, just ten minutes from the bustling centre of Newcastle.
Ideal for both business and pleasure in the city, surrounded by lush gardens and verdant parkland, Jesmond Dene House is just an eight minute walk from the nearest metro station, and within easy reach of Newcastle's most important landmarks and attractions, including the Great North Museum, the BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, the seven bridges over the Tyne or the Quayside, among many other fascinating sights. Jesmond Dene House's unique gardens are a feast for the senses, while the hotel's modern art and photography collection offers a fascinating insight into contemporary North-Eastern English and Norwegian artists.
The restaurant at Jesmond Dene House is the proud holder of three AA Rosettes, and serves a delicious range of menus based on classical cooking techniques, contemporary cuisine and the finest, locally sourced ingredients. Guests can choose from à la carte, ten-course tasting menus, including a vegetarian version, as well as seasonally changing two and three-course lunch menus.
