Surrounded by vineyards and with spectacular, unbroken views as far as the eye can see, this charming boutique property offers exclusive accommodation and activities in a delightful rural setting.Ideal for relaxing visits to this beautiful, unspoiled region, Herdade do Sobroso offers guests a huge range of activities in and around the estate. These include birdwatching, fishing, photographic safaris, canoeing and horse riding, among many others. As part of a modern winery, the Herdade also organises wine tours and tastings, and these can be combined with traditional lunches, cheese tastings, or even hot-air balloon flights. Herdade do Sobroso has just eleven luxurious rooms and suites, located in the main farmhouse and in the separate Stork House, close to the pool. All rooms are air-conditioned, and feature a range of modern amenities, including Wi-Fi internet connections, flat-screen plasma televisions and mini-bars. Breakfast is served in the elegant dining area and consists of traditional Alentejo bread, croissants, fresh cheeses, jams, honey, home-made cakes, buns, freshly squeezed orange juice and much, much more. Coming from the South: Go straight to Beja. In Beja follow direction Vidigueira. Before reaching Vidigueira turn in the direction of Moura (it is a big road and you will be driving for 15 minutes more or less). In that road you will find on your right side Herdade do Peso. Once you see it you drive for more five minutes and must play attention to a sign that says Marmelar at your left. Turn there and go straight to the end of the road until you reach a bifurcation, once there turn right towards Alqueva. Herdade do Sobroso will appear on the left side.
