Standing just eight kilometres from the historic centre of Williamsburg, Wedmore Place is a newly built European-style country hotel, located on a property with a heritage stretching back to the 17th century and a farm settled by Captian Gabriel Archer of the Godspeed. Surrounded by its own vineyards, and an on-site winery, this charming hotel offers boutique-style accommodation, fine cuisine and top-class facilities in a delightful woodland setting.

Ideal for relaxing stays in the Williamsburg area, Wedmore Place boasts an outdoor pool, along with a fully featured spa area. Nestled in three-hunded acres of vineyards and pine forests, Wedmore Place has just twenty-eight uniquely designed rooms and suites. Each room is named after a province of Europe, with décor mirroring each region, featuring individually selected antiques and paintings to reflect the culture and history of that province.

Wedmore Place is home to the Gabriel Archer Tavern and the Café Provençal restaurant, where guests can enjoy farm to fork dining and French inspired cuisine respectively. Tradition Rooms:
Guests can choose between the Gascony, Languedoc*, Killarney*, Corinthian, Scandinavia, Wales, Bohemia, Bavaria, Tyrol, Normandy*, Ardennes*, and Westphalia rooms. All rooms are appointed with antiques and works of art and range in size from 26 sq m to 30 sq m. Each of the twelve different Tradition rooms has a wood-burning fireplace* (availability of the fire is based on season, weather conditions and temperature), antiques and tapestries, king-size bed, luxurious bed linens, antique working desk, comfortable robes, satellite televisions, wireless internet connections and hair dryers in all of the bathrooms. Maximum occupancy: two guests.
Classic Rooms:
These rooms offer the choice of the Lombardi, Brittany, Piemonte, Champagne, Cornwall, Vienna, Catalonia, and Andalucia rooms. All rooms are elegantly appointed with antiques and works of art and range in size from 26 sq m to 30 sq m. Each of the eight different Classic rooms have a wood-burning fireplace* (availability of fire is based on season, weather conditions and temperature), antiques and tapestries, king-size bed, luxurious bed linens, antique working desk, comfortable robes, satellite televisions, wireless internet connections and hair dryers in all of the bathrooms. Maximum occupancy: two guests.
Superior Rooms:
Guests can choose between the Brandenburg*, Castilla, Provence, Burgundy, and Cotswold rooms. All rooms are elegantly appointed with antiques and reproductions, king size beds and wood-burning fireplaces, ranging in size from 30 sq m. to 40 sq m. In-room fires are subject to season and temperature. All rooms have high speed internet access, plush bathrobes and views of the forest and meadowlands surrounding The Williamsburg Winery. Suites:
Wedmore Place has three beautifully decorated suites located on the corners of the main floor and the upper floor, ranging in size from 46 to over 102 square metres. All have king-size beds, separate sitting rooms with wood burning fireplaces (availability of fire is based on season, weather conditions and temperature) and all elegantly appointed with antiques and artwork to match the regions they represent.
Tuscany Suite:
This suite offers over 46 square metres of space with a separate sitting room, an open-hearth fireplace and a large tapestry on the wall painted in traditional Tuscan colours.
Aquitaine Suite:
This suite features over 65 sq m of classic French elegance with a large sitting room decorated with a 11' x 14' (3,4 x 4,3m) fresco and fireplace. The separate bedroom overlooks the pool terrace.
Venetian Suite:
This suite is the largest, with over 102 sq m of space divided between the sitting room and the bedroom situated on the loft, overlooking the sitting room decorated in traditional Italian elegance.
