Enjoying a quiet location in the heart of Zermatt, Matterhorn Lodge is a new-build boutique hotel offering luxury accommodation and spa facilities in a genuine Alpine atmosphere. Continuing a long family tradition, Matterhorn Lodge is owned and run by a third generation of hoteliers, and occupies the plot formerly occupied by the Dom Hotel.

Built in locally sourced wood and Matterhorn stone, Matterhorn Lodge combines traditional Alpine architecture with all modern features and amenities. Strategically placed between Zermatt's two main cable-car stations, it is perfect for both winter and summer holidays in this magnificent resort. Nearby attractions include the Matterhorn Museum, the Haus Taugwalder and the Gornergrat railway, Europe's highest open-air rack railway.

The Matterhorn Lodge has fifteen luxurious double rooms, two suites and a magnificent six bed apartment, all elegantly furnished and spacious. Décor is luminous and modern, featuring pine wall linings, custom designed furniture and cosy fabrics, and the rooms have mountain vistas or views of old Zermatt. The lodge also boasts a cosy lounge-bar, and after a busy day on the pistes or in the mountains, guests can wind down in the fabulous Muttgletscher Spa. This features Finnish and bio-saunas, a steam-bath, a relaxation pool and experience showers, and relaxation room with fresh fruit juices and a variety of teas. Double Room South:
These south facing rooms are decorated with modern furnishings, and some have views of the Matterhorn. They offer a flat-screen TV, a safe, tea and coffee making facilities and an en-suite bathroom. One large double bed. Room size 30 sq m.
Suite:
These spacious suites feature a large balcony with an astonishing Matterhorn view. They come with a large bedroom, a separate living room/dining area, and a large en-suite bathroom with bathtub, shower and separate toilet. One large double bed, one sofa bed. Suite size 65 sq m.
Luxury Apartment:
This fabulous apartment has three double bedrooms, and a spacious living room and kitchen area with a large balcony and magnificent Matterhorn views. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with bathtub and shower, and there are two more separate bathrooms. Two large double beds, two single beds. Apartment size 145 sq m.
